![]() ![]() And to make things worse, Dokkan began releasing more and more units that have most of their passives available from turn one such as Jiren, Super Vegito and UR Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. However as the bosses starts to hit harder in the earlier phases of the game along with a greater emphasis on short events such as Extreme Super Battle Road and Transcendent Gods of Destruction, their weakness unfortunately starts becoming prominent as prior to transforming, their a completely defensive liability unless they're placed in the third slot where they're reliant on a 50% dodge chance while also giving them no time to buildup due to how short they are. At the time of release, this wasn't much of an issue as Marathon Level was prominent in the meta due to the prevalence of Fighting Legend: Goku and Infinite Dragon Ball History which is where the cards can shine. ![]() Their can be pretty much sums up as a Magikarp Power type of unit while initially weak, as the turns pass and their passive builds up through attacks, they can deal insane amount of damage output while also being able to tank very well. While it is inevitable that Anniversary units fall off due to the ever-growing Power Creep, no other unit suffers from this moreso than the LR Vegito and Gogeta.Though thankfully over time, new units would use the mechanic as an Active Skill with easier conditions to fulfill, making it much easier to control when you use it. The Giant Ape/Namekian cards, while they can be a lifesaver thanks to their invulnerability, are inconvenient to depend on (They have at most a less than 25% chance to activate), and can sometimes last in between 2 to 3 turns. These includes Beerus, who's low 60% ATK boost is seen as underwhelming compared to the much higher damaging SSJ3 Gotenks or even SSGSS Goku, and Buu (Kid), who has a decent passive, but a terrible leader skill (Increases allies ATK the higher your HP is, max 50%), and his passive has too high of a threshold to maintain (HP must be 80% or above for the 50% ATK/DEF boost to work). In a constantly evolving game such as Dokkan, it's no surprise that certain cards, especially Dokkan Fest cards, will soon fall out of the meta, being replaced by much stronger characters. The creame of the crop are, naturally, the LR Cards, which are not only drawn after memorable moments in the anime, but are also fully animated. Awesome Art: This game has some pretty impressive artwork for a mobile game, and while they did had to be rendered at a lower quality to reduce space, it doesn't make arts such as SSJ Goku or Open The Gates of Hell] Cooler (Final Form) any less awesome. ![]()
